Your recovery and flourishing begin with self-insight

As an accredited organizational psychologist, I have been guiding people toward more balance and clarity in their lives and work for over 15 years.

"Being human" is a process in which we are subject to many experiences, both beautiful and stormy. The way you deal from a place of self-insight with pressure, stressful thoughts, difficult emotions, and tensions around you, influences how comfortable you feel in your own skin.

That is why I always look at the bigger picture: your psychological and physical well-being, the dynamics in your relationship(s), and the resilience needed to continue functioning sustainably, both professionally and personally.

My services

Find balance, meaning, and direction

to be able to live a sustainably happy and resilient life.

1

Psychological consultation for stress, burnout, depression, anxiety, feeling unwell

For men or women who want to feel better in their own skin and face life with more hope, optimism, resilience, energy, (self)confidence, or inner peace.

We work on your personal energy, resilience, and stress management. You gain insight into how you handle pressure and learn practical tools to better manage your energy. We combine talk therapy with moments of rest or mindfulness in every session, as well as with nature and movement.

To prevent you from falling into depression (again), we use talk therapy, as well as meditations and exercises from the scientifically validated Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction & Cognitive Therapy training.

2

Career guidance: new direction, ideal job, talent development

For men or women who want a new direction and more meaning in their work, to achieve success based on their strengths and draw energy from their job.

"What are my talents and how can I use them in a job?"

"What gives me energy?"

"What do I need to watch out for to avoid burnout?"

"Which job do I actually still want to do?"

"How can I reshape my current role?"

"Where do I find meaning?"

"What are my values and mission?"

"What is my ideal work environment and workplace?"

"How do I find my balance?"

Includes handbook, talent and values card sets, and talent scan

3

Personality and behavior: who/how am I, under stress & in relation to others

For men or women who do not want to lose themselves in stress, including in interactions with others, and want to lead a meaningful and energizing life in line with who they truly are, also in their relationships.

In these counseling sessions, based on your personality & behavior questionnaire (Lumina Spark) we discover:

"What suits you to be happier and more stress-free, including in relationships?", "Why do you have so many problems with certain behaviors of others and vice versa?", "Why do you get stuck in certain work or personal relationships?", "How can you build good relationships with the people around you?", "What should you watch out for regarding burnout?", "Where can you grow and where are you particularly strong?"

Recharging place de Zinhoeve

In the heart of rural Ruddervoorde lies de Zinhoeve, a warm place where you can catch your breath.

Surrounded by greenery, away from your work and home environment and daily worries, you think differently.

That is no coincidence, that is what a location in the middle of nature can do to you.

At 'De Zinhoeve', there is space to engage in an honest dialogue about how you function, where things are rubbing, or what could be improved. In a quiet place in nature, in a safe environment, these things surface more easily.

What you do here works better because the environment cooperates.

About Sharon

I believe that we step into our power when we slow down for a moment and take an honest look at ourselves.

As an accredited psychologist (organizational-), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy trainer, and ACT & psychotherapist in training, with a background in scientific research, I have been guiding men and women for over 15 years regarding personal balance, stress reduction, burnout, and career.

In my work, the central question is always how we can deal with pressure, responsibility, and the dynamics within our relationships in a stronger and more conscious way.

In addition to my psychology practice, I offer 1:1 coaching, team building, and scans for managers, business owners, and organizations focusing on balance & stress reduction, personal leadership, and a positive team culture.

I also share my insights through my books Inner Peace in a Busy Life and Personal Leadership , my podcast Personal Balance , my blog , and the e-book Your Guide to Better Collaboration .

Every collaboration leaves a story behind. This is what customers have to say about it.

"Before you know it, you get swallowed up by too much work and you no longer see the distinction between what you are best at, what you are not so good at, what you enjoy doing most, or what you just do because it comes your way and you don't make a conscious choice. On top of that, you are very eager to say 'yes' because you simply like making people happy and helping them. I was burned out.

Thanks to Sharon, I was able to put an end to this stressful way of working and live a more balanced life. She taught me how to properly wrap up my workday: making a plan for the next day (so it's out of your head), turning off the computer fifteen minutes before the children come home, moving around for a bit, putting on some calming music, and really listening to my body.

I learned to redirect what used to tire me so that it now gives me energy. Professionally, Sharon held up a mirror to me. I am who I am, but it is good to become aware of a number of blind spots."

- Ans Vercruysse, graphic designer, owner Beeldburo

"Thanks in part to her radiant personality and disarming openness, Sharon made me realize that the majority of my job was draining my energy, leaving me exhausted when I came home every night. The things that did give me energy and made me shine were barely involved. I discovered exactly what those were together with her.

Sharon supported and guided me so as not to lose myself in my role and to stand up for myself and the things that suit me best, ensuring my enthusiasm remained high. The unique thing about Sharon is that she approached me as a 'person' and not as a student.

Each session was tailored to analyze my questions, problems, and fears at that moment in order to provide insight. No heavy theory, but practical vision, meditative exercises, and an empirical approach.

But above all, I thank her for the always pleasant welcome with fruit, delicious cookies, tea... and the time to acclimatize and let all the accurate information I was able to absorb in her sessions sink in."

- GD - Architect

"Sharon possesses the neutral, loving attention to invite someone to be themselves. Her approach was exactly what I needed: very down-to-earth, to the point, and realistic! I find it so inspiring that Sharon doesn't copy; she is what she brings. The tools are also accessible and suitable for everyone. I was given a wide variety of resources and was very motivated to get to work with these new “toys” at many different times! Practice makes perfect: “I am happy”!"

Customers share

"In fact, the guidance gave me—both personally and professionally—exactly what I needed: insight, energy, and self-confidence. I have been able to make a number of decisions that have brought peace to my family.

In addition, I have taken a number of actions and have succeeded in doing my job quite differently. And in doing so, I have rediscovered a drive that I had been looking for in recent years. It is very enlightening to see exactly where my strengths lie and how I can better utilize them in my job."

- Veerle, lecturer at the university of applied sciences

"The coaching process with Sharon has helped me change course in every area: privately, in my relationships, and at work. Her approach is very good, calm, and relaxed.

Why would I recommend it? Give it a try, and after just one session, you will experience where the pain points are. You will feel: “I am in the right place here.” I immediately had the feeling: “a solution is coming.” I suddenly saw a light at the end of the tunnel of where I wanted to work towards, and that gave me energy.

My drive to move forward is still there, but the goal has shifted: the goal is now to enjoy life, and no longer to get the maximum out of it as a business manager. What gives me satisfaction is now the maximum, not what others expect of me, because that is unattainable..."

- Isabelle Tant, partner AB consult

"Waking up every day and being happy with everything I have: health, children, material things that have become so commonplace that we take it for granted that we have them. Enjoying every moment and taking the time to look around me at the beautiful things. Realizing that the days gone are not returning and are therefore lost if I do not live them. Knowing that worrying only magnifies problems, and therefore stopping when I catch myself doing it.

That is what I have learned here. We get dragged into the merry-go-round where everything revolves around performing as much and as quickly as possible. I am determined to only pursue career paths that provide satisfaction, and not just do what is imposed upon me."

- Chris, business consultant manager
